I'm amazed to see the Eco-generation Ambassador participating and conducting various environmental activities. It?s great to know youth?s engagement into environmental activities is increasing day by day. This has brought positive vibes among other youths of every nook and corners.
In this ambassador report I have shared the cleanliness campaign I got to participate on the occasion of International Volunteer Day(on the same day which coincides with World Soil Day) organized by Nepalese Friendship Society in collaboration with various other organizations like Clean Up Nepal, Raise Hand Nepal, Municipality, Nepal Police on Bharatpur, Chitwan.
I volunteered in the program and this time we managed the wastes even more efficiently. In the program, there was the participation of many school and university level students. What's more, most of us were the same people who volunteered previously in the Clean Up Nepal. Repetition shows devotion of volunteers and their never ending zest for making the surrounding clean.
Moreover, many new participants (mainly volunteers? friends) were also there who got interested into such campaign by watching our previous activities like the one we did on September 20 (according to them). We were delighted to hear from them. This has further encouraged us to act more vigorously.
We started our campaign from Campus Chowk and ended in Lions Chowk. We cleaned both sides of roads, collected weeds, grasses and mainly the wrappers.
I hear so many people around saying, ?they do the campaign for a day and stop it from the next day. What?s the point by doing such campaign?? That?s bitter truth. But this won?t make us deviate from our movement. We will give continuity to our activity and make such people to act themselves someday.
Making our surrounding clean, develop healthy habit of managing wastes, encourage people to take action, foster relation among like minded youths, develop strong network and get intimate with each other, set ourselves as an example for other youths were some of the achievements of our campaigns.
