ambassador Report View

It's OUR responsibility to keep our country clean

In order to get fresh oxygen and update themselves with the latest happenings in the society, ladies head out to go for a morning walk. But their enthusiasm totally drowns when they came across this gruesome scene as shown in the picture. This picture was taken at 7.30 am on a weekday. Families and bachelors litter the tree bench with various soft drink cans, food packets and milk cartons. Having, no other place to sit, the ladies have to sit near the garbage. There are over 50 tourists which visit the place every day especially during the peak seasons and activities like these spoil the beautification of the emirate.

In spite of raising awareness, littering is still a common sight in many parts of the world.

I wish to raise awareness on these kinds of issues. My views were also published in the National Newspaper-Gulf News. I request all the ambassadors to take theses kind of acts into consideration and spread awareness among their citizens. I urge all the ambassador to make sure that the residents throw the garbage in the right bin.

To all the Ambassadors and budding environmentalist... lets all join hands and work together towards a litter-free and healthier world!!!!

Thanks for pointing a very serious issues. Littering makes both environment and people sick.
We will do our best to promote the sustainable habit of managing waste and inculcate the putting rubbish in bin as the habit

    Awaiting your report, Rin.
Yes Bindu, It is indeed frustrating to see litter around despite having dustbins to dispose.
Thanks Aness, I agree people will definitely read & care to dispose wisely.

Like you've written before "littering is still a common sight in many parts of the world", here I find a similar problem. Cleanness of city completely depends on city cleaning officers. People don't care at all. Thanks for your report, because of your report, I'll try to submit my opinion related to littering to local newspaper. I wish I'll be luck, and Good Luck for you :)

Thanks for pointing it out through GN and spreading awareness about what is right and what is wrong. We all should dispose our waste mindfully and keep the place we visit clean and tidy.
