I have introduced Brazil's indigenous groups in a previous article. The news is about the loss of their precious habitant and fighting for protecting the environment, Amazon. However, today I would introduce to Tunza ambassadors rather bright news about tribal groups.
The residents of remote north-western Brazil decided to move to Tube village in order to join the tourism business. They do farming and go fishing for living but find the easy way instead of hard jobs. These days the people in tube perform dance with a traditional music and sell jewelry that they made. They earned money with them as well as advertise their culture. They dance with visitors and have time to answer for question of their culture.
This situation brings revenue issue between tribal groups and agencies due to still no regulation for it. A Brazilian government agency, the National Indian Foundation has goal to make regulation to protect indigenous people.
When I saw this news for the first time, environment issue came to my mind. What if this phenomenon has a negative impact on nature? Even though moving area to survive in better way is necessary for tribes, I do not want to hurt the environment.
Fortunately, a non-government organization called the Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (ASF) will support to remind of environmental conservation. They aim that promoting local culture and ensuring fair revenue share with indigenous groups.
They expect that instead of cutting down trees, bringing tourists to well protected area for tour is necessary and preferred, which would bring more revenue.
I always think about how humans are able to coexist with nature. If it is necessary to use environment to survive and protect a certain culture, finding the optimal way not to destruct the environment should be a duty. I hope that tourists also enjoy nature and at the same time, raise a awareness that we have to protect such a beauty.

Good initiative by ASF to take up the role of reminding and ensuring environment conservation. Humans can co-exist with nature in harmony by sustainable living and sustainable development

This is a positive news, that an NGO will be supporting for environmental conservation. It is really an innovative way to improve lifestyle via their culture, tradition and dance.

It is really nice for the NGO to have taken the bold step to encourage the people stop cutting trees and embrace dancing. I wish them the best and hope they succeed in changing the mindset of the people towards sustainable living.
