The current environmental situation in Tunisia can be described as miserable, at best. Recently, attempts to improve the environmental conditions have been occurring in many levels and in many cities. Environmental students decided to make movements without waiting the government initiatives. So, as a member of environmental association " Sfax Al Meziana" , I met environmental students and founders the environmental club of the environmental faculty and we decided to be a part of the international clean up action " let's do it ". I would like to mention that i was the responsible of international communication of these associations. Let's Do It, Tunisia "is part of the movement" Let's Do It World, "a voluntary action that calls upon all countries of the world to come together and work together to carry the biggest cleaning action of the planet ever held. Preparation for this action began three months before the date of the cleaning up action. We organized press conferences, meetings with mayors and TV interviews. We also distributed leaflets and invitations to many faculties and schools. After a hard work, we collected 300 people ready to participate in this action. The day of the action was amazing. many people participated in the cleaning up of Three major streets in Sfax city. The participants were: children, men, women, elders and some trash collectors. We cleaned up these streets during 6 hours. After finishing we organized a small party to distribute gifts for children and encourage them to participate in cleaning up actions to improve the environmental conditions in Sfax.
