Dhaia, A lake between the skies |
---|
Medea is the capital city of Medea Province, Algeria. It is located roughly 90 km south of Algiers. My hometown, the present-day city is situated on the site of an ancient Roman military post and has a history dating back to the 10th century. The town is French in character, with a rectangular city plan, red tile-roofed buildings, and beautiful public gardens. The hills surrounding Medea are covered with vineyards, orchards, and farms that yield abundant grain. It is located at 1200 meters attitude, cold in the winter while very hot in the summer. 15 Km to the east of the capital we find Dhaia, a lake with 1300 meter Attitude, an isolated place between the mountains counted as favorite place for some citizens to visit, where you can have a wonderful view. |
