The workshop has been taken in Southern Province, Nyamagabe District, Gasaka sector at EAR Guest House started at 8:30 AM to 5:10PM. The workshop has been attended by 21 members (technical advisors) of BIOCOOP. The facilitater of the workshop was Ange IMANISHIMWE( the president of BIOCOOP Rwanda).

The !--object--ive of the workshop was to rearrange departments and assigning their Heads of Departments (HODs), setting strategic plan and business plan for recent projects to undertake.
1. OVERVIEW
During important and fruitful meeting of BIOCOOP RWANDA with its partners and stakeholders, held at Tare Sector on 17th May 2013, BIOCOOP received many recommendations for a better organization like:
1. Rearrangement of departments and sub departments
2. Development of BIOCOOP RWANDA strategic plan
3. Development of business plan for majors activities to undertake
4. Include Horticulture in major activities to undertake
5. Writing proposals for funding agencies
So, the workshop was to respond to the findings received from the last meeting.

A fruitful discussion on setting departments and sub-departments has given 5 departments and 17 sub-departments and each department has three elected representative.

After getting more explanation on strategic plan by one of the BIOCOOP RWANDA, some basic information have been drafted and after it has been seen that it was very difficult do compile it in one session.The idea of the members was to assign the task to hire a consultant but it has been revealed that it can cost a lot. Final Decision was that two members (Solange MUKAYISENGA and Emmanuel GUMYUSENGE) have been committed to compile the strategic plan in collaboration with the HODs and the Board till the end of July 2013.
And it has been concluded that the business plan will be done in departments according to specificity of the project and the Umutanguha MF has accorded the support.
3. UPDATES
During the workshop, some updates have been loaded:
a. It has been announced that Milk Collecting Center Management Contract is being signed and almost the equipment is ready.
b. Many ecotourism equipments collected in USA and their delay to Rwanda due to DHL transport miss in the area of collection.
c. Tare Telecenter Management has been given to BIOCOOP and necessary equipments given by the district for starting activities to the community and two members (NDAYAMBAJE Theogene and BIRIMAHIRE Ines) were assigned as facilitators.
d. The World Environmental Day to be celebrated in middle June.
e. The share has been put to 50000 for all members and those have to pay it.
4. RECOMMENDATIONS
To write to inactive members to fulfill their duties.
To approach the Nyamagabe JADF in order to be recognized as partner
Mobile sono have been found as the best message diffusion on the World Environmental day.
