POVERTY ERADICATION (ONE OF THE MDGS) on NELSON MANDELA'S BIRTHDAY |

Poverty eradication is one of the MDGs and we, Green Hope UAE, always try to do our bit to achieve this MDG to eradicate poverty. So, Green Hope UAE conducted its second Iftar handout of the week on 18th July, reaching to over 100 labourers. We distributed 105 packs , consisting of daily essentials , which would be great use to these workers. 18th July is Nelson Mandela's birthday and there is a global movement to partake in 67 minutes of social service. Each of the 67 minutes equal to the number of years , i.e. 67 years , which this great man fought against apartheid . Green Hope UAE members spent their 67 minutes in distributing iftar packs at this labor , thus showing solidarity with this global movement. In total, in the week of 18th of July, we distributed 250 iftar packs to the workers who serve our society. It was our way of thanking them for their selfless service.
