Hello dear Tunza family,
First of all, I would like to apologize for the latest report. I have been having a few big personal problems and thanks Godness they are all over now. Secondly, I would like to introduce the event I held on 26th of October. We had to have the first conference on the 22nd of October, but because of many teachers who were busy with picking cotton, we had to leave it for a few days. To tell the truth, I didnt really like the way we held our conference. We had even more than 45 students who wanted to attend, but every time they asked about it, we kept on leaving the conference and saying ''tomorrow.'' They stopped believing us and many boys were absent during the conference. Also, we told them that we will hold the conference at 12 o'clock, but due to electricity problems, it started at 1:30p.m. and even later. The teachers were confused with the projectors and we tried a lot to turn them on after we had our electricity back. Almost all of our attendants had to go to their tutors and many girls left too. We had only about 10 students left and (only 3)a few teachers. But we didnt stop believing and continued our event. I, as the ambassador and organizator of the conference, started the event. I introduced the event in Uzbek and English languages together with explaining everything about the event. The reasons and the objectives of the conference were also explained at the beginning. My sister and my cousin have attended dance classes and I knew that they would be a great help for me in the event. We must all be thankful for living in a free country without any fights. There was a kid's song named 'Uzbekistan' and my little sisters danced to this song. I was so happy to know that my friends were with me to support. They helped me a lot. Gulshanoy Nuriddinova talked about water and I talked about air. Anora Egamberdiyeva and Diyora Mirzatolipova leaded the conference. After I introduced everything, my friends started it. They introduced Gulshanoy Nuriddinova who had to talk about water. She talked about the importance of water, its' pollutions and the ways to prevent them in Uzbek. Then, it was my turn and I came up to the stage. I talked about what air pollution is, the history of air pollution and its causes. I talked about the ways to prevent it. I said that planting flowers can prevent air pollution and the dancers were again on the stage preparing for their new dance for the song 'Flowers.' We had prepared many questions for our participants, but due to the number of people sitting in the conference, we didnt give the written questions. Instead, we did an oral quiz and asked questions orally, both in English and Uzbek languages. The students were interested and soon enough, we stopped asking questions. My friends Anora and Diyora were again on the stage to finish the conference. We called the head of our English faculty, Madiyarova Matlyubaxon. She spoke about the mistakes we made, about her own conclusions and at the end, she thanked me for uniting our group and doing these activities. Next, our English teacher Nazimova Gulmiraxon started speaking about her own ideas and conclusions. After she finished, both of the teachers were up in the stage to award the active participants. We gave certificates to 3 students (with sticky-notes). Gulshanoy was selected to be the most active participant, Anora along with Diyora were only active participants. I decided to give an ending to our conference... I told the teachers that we will fix all our mistakes until the 2nd annual conference. Further, I thanked everyone for coming and spending their time with us. My sisters (the dancers) then passed my business cards, leaflets and booklets. I thanked my teacher for supporting me and gave her an eco-bag. (These days, I am happy to see that she is bringing the bag to lyceum almost every day:) And this was the end of our conference, but we didnt stop the fun. Me, my sisters and my friends treated ourselves with ice cream. It was a very fun activity, it is a pity that many students left... |

Good job Xiola. This is still the first conference so it is no strange that they'll be problems. What's most important is how you dealt with these problems. The most important thing is to learn from the experience so the second conference can be even better.
Good job again and good luck :)
