I just felt to share this with my fellow ambassador. Knowledge is powerWhat is carbon farming? After fossil fuels, land use is the second largest contributor of carbon dioxide emissions. In the atmosphere, carbon dioxide is a pollutant that contributes to climate change. But when the carbon is brought into living systems (soils and plants), it becomes a source of productivity and a way to mitigate climate change. According to the French government?s 4 per 1000 Initiative, 4 percent annual growth rate of the soil carbon stock would make it possible to stop the present increase in atmospheric carbon emissions. Carbon farming is the umbrella term used for a growing suite of agricultural and land management practices that remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and stores it in soils and plants. It can involve practices such as no-till and rotational grazing. Carbon farming can deliver a double benefit: improved agricultural production and sustainability while simultaneously making the climate system safer for future generations. Clement! Thanks for sharing your report on Carbon farming! So it is smiliar concept to carbon capturing, right? This is really interesting that our efforts to stop the pollution actually opening up new business opportunity in our society. Hope this technology could contribute to solving climate change issue!

@Clement, this is my first time to read about this term Carbon Farming, which means converting harm to benefit, it's a proper solution to decreasing climate problems and other environmental problems. Thanks for the report. ^_^

Thank you Clement, for introducing the term, Carbon Farming to us. I must admit that though I can relate to the explanation and know the methods you have mentioned, but I have not come across this term before. This really is a double edged sword to fight carbon emissions and related global warming.

Lately, I have been reading a lot about this phrase 'carbon Farming'. Carbon farming is agriculture??s answer to climate change, with the goal to take excess carbon out of the atmosphere (where carbon causes global warming) and store it in the soil (where carbon aids the growth of plants). Thank you for sharing.
