Poem- Say NO to Poaching

by Aaditya Singh | 15-01-2018 04:10 recommendations 0

I recall one of our Tunza essay topics about Fight against illegal trade of Wildlife, and am sharing on this forum, a poem that I have written about poaching.

Say no to poaching

He traps, he kills, he sells, he earns,

Lives of birds and animals he burns.

A net, a cage, to capture and hold,

Of his wrong deeds, he has to be told.

For money, poor animals lives he takes,

Not once considering the animals? sake.

He snatches lives and leaves animals stranded,

Who will catch him guilty and red handed?

Taking endangered species to extinction,

Just to add another head to his collection,

The path of animal cruelty, he follows

Never giving a thought about tomorrow.

But the future is what we all must consider,

And not allow our unique biodiversity to wither.

To be one with nature is what we wish to achieve,

To reach our goal, we must have faith and believe.

We protect, we preserve, we conserve and collaborate,

And a never ending bond with animals we stimulate.

Together with right motives, we can end the suffering,

If we create awareness about the issue and start helping.

In our Tunza Ecogen Forum, let us express our ideas

So that, our animal allies thrive free in our Utopia

Hi, Aaditya! Wow, your poem is very well-written and thought-provoking. Reading about illegal poaching in a poem form, the message feels stronger and more moving. I think there is a certain power in the rhyming phrases, because the words resonate as I read them. Thank you for your beautifully written piece! :D
