Today's youth and environmental awareness |

Nowadays, people become more realized about the environment than past years as the climate change is threatening the world and many of the invaluable lives were gone. For the sake of the environmental welfare, environmental education becomes compulsory thing and more voluntary works are expecting in the risk situations.
If I would describe my experiences concerned with environmental extension, I gave the environmental education to the middle school students in one village named Le’ Wun. Also I was volunteered one environmental education project which is the story telling to the primary school students with Edu Green Group. Guess what? After I graduated, these things that I done was reflected to me. When I applied to the job, I was interviewed how many activities like volunteering have been done and what is your opinion on doing so. Volunteering on environmental education is very much important job. Someone might see this is the extra work and on someway it will finish. I would say the effects after I have been given the education. It was very pleased facts that besides giving the education, we make one activity of picking up the litter at the school compound to make it clean. Every child was actively participated and one kid is happily said to me that “hello sis, by seeing this cleaning view, I won’t throw the rubbish carelessly. I will also tell my family and clean my home too”. I was very delighted to hear that. When your little efforts can aware the one other, why wouldn’t we keep doing that. That one person could tell to the other and that other to another one could help the world. I would like to suggest; please contribute your work whether it is small or big. Your efforts might shoot one. Not only it would change you but also would change the world. |

Hello Hnin, I provided my own environmental education project to high school students last year and I do understand how you might have went through struggling time :)
Though establishing plans before providing classes to young kids is not an easy job (I read many books since I did not know what to choose and get some pieces of excerpts for presentation and I do think you must have done same) but conducting a survey after education and so on truly tells us how our future generation has been engaged in environmental problems and trends of problems ongoing.
