Why ECPAC Selfie Contest ?

by Deepak Subedi | 31-01-2019 03:02 recommendations 1

Hello Everyone
Namaste
I hope you all are fit, fine, healthy and happy where ever you are :)
Most of you guys know I am running a campaign called Environment Conservation and Pollution Awareness Campaign ECPAC "Together We Can"
I have already conducted several Awarness and competitions in 4 different schools of my locality which covers around 400 Student.
After offline activities I decided to conduct selfie contest in theme "Beat Plastic Pollution" and I am in way of this program.
Few days back ,
Joon Ho Mentor and Gyeongrin mentor said  that program must effect the local community and help to bring change in society, they also thanked me for the campaign and contest.
Thank you mentors for your feedback suggestions, guidelines and care for me :)
Main Aims of this Contest are
- Make people aware about Plastic Pollution
- Promote Tunza Eco Generation
- Bring Positive change in mind of youths

It is very bad here in Nepal about plastic pollution, highly educated, college students, government officers all don't care about plastic pollution and they randomly throw plastic bags and wrapper in roads, jungle, water.
This is massive problem here.
Upto now 25 participants took part in my program and I believe that they won't throw plastic everywhere and they will make habbit of less use of plastic, it is like awareness for 25 young Graduation level students.
I believe I will have more participation.
Nextly 1000+ people liked my page and they read message of at least 1 participants means 1000 more people will rethink about plastic pollution.
Upto now 107.6 Thousands Post reach and 28.9 Thousands post engagement reach happen in my Facebook page, it means many people saw selfie with beautiful message.
My Professor Dr Krishna Kafle commented in my post as
"pledge be the change, collective evolution is the way ahead...be bold to stand out..crowd will follow"
And
In post of one contestant as
"Happy that Youngsters have realised that mess has been created and need immediate intervention...be radical if the need be"
And he personally said me that I am doing very good, that is huge achievement for me.

I am very much thankful to Tunza Eco Generation for accepting my request and sending me stationary and USB drive for contest request.
I will try to conduct many more programs in the future days despite of my busy days and heitic academic calendar.
I am very much thankful to Mentors, ambassador and other members who helped me a lot in this 5 months after I was appointed as ambassador.
I want to thank all who sent me supporting selfie far from my country :)
Looking back I have given and achieved many things in my life, I want to thank from bottom of my heart to this wounderful platfrom, Tunza Eco Generation.
I have posted remaining photos of the contents  ( Participants 11-25) below hope you will like them. I have already posted 10 participants photos in my previous reports.
I heartily request both mentors, ambassador and others to choose best from these 15 participants and write why you like them.

Thank you

Wow! I am impressed with the creativity and success of this campaign! All these posters are unique and creative!
I am particularly drawn to the poster of the earth shaped like an eaten apple being chewed away by plastic and her message ''you see the difference a turtle does not'' along with the drawing of a plastic straw in the turtle. I think her illustrations send a powerful message. I like all the other posters too!
Good luck in choosing a winner!:)
