TUNZA 2011 is held in Bandung, Indonesia by the Indonesian Government and UNEP. One of the program in this conference is declaration of Babakan Siliwangi as the First World City Forest in Indonesia.
On September 27, 2011 1,400 children and youth all over the world come to Bandung to attend this conference and 100 selected participants joining the trees plantation in Babakan Siliwangi area.
Babakan Siliwangi city forest area occupied 3 hectares of land around Sabuga Conference Center and Sport complex.
As one of the Indonesian Delegation for TUNZA 2011 Indonesia Conference, I hope this is the first step for the next TUNZA conference and I hope this initiative will be implemented in every cities across Indonesia.
Indonesian government already set up a 30% land area in every single city should becoming a green area. This regulation not yet being implemented in every single cities. This is a good start to achieve 30% green area regulation.
