I've had an exceptionally intellectually enriching experience serving as one of the 22nd Eco-Generation Ambassadors to Afghanistan. With the overwhelming encouragement, appreciation, support, and constructive feedback of Eco-Generation, my mentors, & my peers, I continued treading on this path to archive ecological and environmental stories in order to inspire all our fellow beings to join their hands together in our mission to achieve sustainable development by 2030. Hence, what other country could be a better choice for this other than Afghanistan - a country which has NOT been represented by any of our ambassadors in the last one year YET is a country brimming with stories of post-conflict environmental resurrection. Decades of conflict and violence, coupled with drought and earthquakes, have had devastating impacts not only on the people of Afghanistan, but also on its natural environment, once pristine and rich in biological diversity. But with the initiative of the Afghan Government and the UNEP, Kabul is in quick transition to accomplish UN endorsed Sustainable Goals numbered 11 (Sustainable Communities and Cities), 13 (Climate Action), 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and 17 (Partnership for Goals). Hence, now Continuing the work that I once began as the 22nd Ambassador, now as the 23rd Ambassador, I'd like to feature stories of how environment always finds a hope to rekindle, no matter how bleak and dire the situation appears to be. I strongly believe that this will motivate everyone to take good care of our environment. I'd like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of Tunza Eco-Generation for having been the catalyst that charged me in the direction of Environmental Awareness, Climate Control, and Sustainable Development. I've thoroughly enjoyed and loved each moment that I've spent on this amazing platform exploring all the resources that ot has to offer and I'm delighted that I still have a lot more to contribute to this network. Looking forward to many more heydays of Tunza. Love, Ananya |
