Global Goals Week is aimed at accelerating action on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across civil society, business, academia, and the UN system. IBM Z Global Student Hub & StudEntX talk-show series – hosted by Lella Halloum & Melissa Sassi was organized as a week of livestreams exploring the role technology plays in solving the world¡¯s most pressing issues on the occasion of UN Global Goals Week. It is an opportunity to speak out as one voice to share ideas and transformative solutions in the fight to solve the world¡¯s most difficult challenges such as alleviating global poverty, climate change, and other important world issues. There were five episodes, over five days, that address the seventeen SDGs between 20th to 24th September. On 21st September, I was invited as the speaker on Z4Global Goal series for Episode 2: Planet to talk on SDG 12,13 and 15. You can watch the episode at IBM Expert Tv http://ibm.biz/studentx I discussed my passion for SDG goal number 12 and 13 and what made me work on these SDGs. I also recommended actions that the audience can make today in their corners of the earth to drive meaningful action to solve these challenges at home and with their friends, at their schools, or within their families. I also included a soundbite at the end of the episode as ¡°Everyone has an eco hero inside them and brings into action to save the world. |

Hello Kushal, this is your mentor Joon!
I would like to praise your effort on devoting yourself to these activities. I know it
is hard and need to spend significant amount of time preparing it as I also have
different experiences on such conference. Though you might be better than me on
doing it, to give you a tip, I would like to advise you to focus on narrow topics of SDGs.
Normally, it would be other way around, but as there are so many different SDGs, it is
easy to loose your track along the way of speaking it. Hope you finished your talks well and
I will be looking forward for further activities!
Best,
Joon
