Pollution and condition of citarum The source of citarum an Indonesian wonder river winds its way down through the island of java for 300 km and flows into the sea easy of Jakarta the river crosses countries capital The condition of pollution is such that at some places we cannot even see the water. Its surface is completely covered by the unimaginable amount of waste, trash, and dead animals floating on it. Indonesia is growing economically consumption is on the rise but waste development system is under development so the river serve as open rubbish dumb and fisher men are fishing bottle instead of fishes its nearby near and the river citarium suffers from chemical pollution Waster water from the industries are one of the major cause of the river pollution The rice field near by is also effected by the pollution of rivers which has cadmium and lead , mercury pollution doesn’t know the degree of danger people nearby exposed to The river is heavily polluted by human activity; about five million people live in its basin. Textile factories in Bandung and Cimahi were major toxic waste contributors. More than 2,000 industries contaminate 5,020 sq miles of the river with lead, mercury, arsenic, and other toxins. -Source Wikipedia |

I am really worried about the crops near the river. In Korea, we had very severe environmental accident where the farmlands and orchards were affected by hazardous substances such as phenol, as one company discharged large amounts of effluent, lethal to human health, without any proper treatment for a long time. The residents in the area had various diseases. I hope the authorities in your country will thoroughly classify urgent problems and invest in them as soon as possible.

Fresh water should be preserved and remained clean as it serves as a source of water to different people around the region. As mankind cannot live without water, preservation is crucial. To do so, setting up proper waste management system is required, and before it is all set up, individual participation is required. People should no dump wastes on water and should look for alternative way to process it.
